Why did you??

You came
You loved
You stayed
And suddenly…
You left
As if you never came
At the first place.

But you did
As the absence
Loud and gory
Staring at my face
As if
I was the culprit.

You came
You loved
And suddenly…
You left

So why did you?

  1. This just hit the core, Swati! ❤ What's more, this kind of scenario never fails to repeat time and time again – while she looks like the culprit at the end of it all! Reminds me of Selena Gomez's 'The heart wants what it wants' – now I know this isn't a coincidence, after all.

    • I didn’t know the song…but the situation in not stranger to me. And it includes dear friends, loved cousins and nieces, brothers that I never actually had…so by now I should have become habitual but no one can actually be like that.

  2. There is a song by Serge Gainsbourg: “Je suis venu te dire que je m’en vais…”
(I came to tell you I’m leaving)
I’m sure there’s a Youtube version, even if you don’t speak french.
    Nice blog. I’ll come back.

    • Hi Brian, I would definitely see the song and appreciate your efforts to mention it and enhance my knowledge of the music and feelings even more 🙂
And I will try to keep writing and even better if possible so that I make more friends like you 😉 (not to mention empty my heart).
And the painting is of Leonid Afremov (http://afremov.com/). I wish I could paint like this…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
