Tangled earphone
Unfinished breakfast
Blinking cursor on the monitor
Messed up bed
In a chaotic room
And shoes
That are nowhere now!
Somebody was angry
Again, and left.
And Some “other” body
Was sad again, huddled
In the corner of the room.
Not being able to meet
Expectations!
Such a meaningful poem on expectation. Lines are nice and could tell that how sad the person is after not being able to meet the expectations.
I wish its not you.

We all come across such a point in our life, though with different settings. We hope to be not in this situations but can’t escape π
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with me π

Yeah everyone has to come across the hard times and how unfortunate is that we can’t control it. But the poem was really nice π

Thanks, but I don’t really consider not being able to control those times as unfortunate, because these experiences shape “You” as a personality and allow us to set our preferences; either you can pick to stay dejected, feeling rejected, or you can choose to step ahead and feel the fresh air outside the relationship and then allow it to breath afresh.
Ans that was too long of reply. π But I really appreciate your thoughts and that you choose to express them here π

Its good to know that you can control these feelings and start afresh. When there is no other option then the best way to deal with the problem is to face it. And I assume that you are following the same approach.

Even I assume that too π
But it is about not feeling ‘unfortunate’, rather than feeling ‘in control’.

Others’ expectations shouldn’t define you π
You are talented and beautiful inside out and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
I agree though sometimes events shape you
Just as long as you they don’t destroy you though

They shouldn’t yes. But we never really understand the way (and how) we change because we loved someone a little too much. We never actually come to know that we have changed…unless one day we look back and notice “the change” staring right at our face.

That’s true I agree π

You know, while writing that I got scared myself. It’s some kind of Deja Vu!

Well said, Swati β€ No wonder there's a saying 'if you love somebody, get ready to die each day'.
